Weight Loss Tips!

The holidays are here, so let's face it; we are probably going to gain some weight! I have provided some tips that will help avoid those not so appealing muffin tops!


 

1) Use Smaller Plates 

It is important to not overeat when you're trying to look like a snack and not like you ate all the snacks. Using smaller plates can help give the illusion that you have a full plate of food by putting a normal amount of food on a smaller plate. Using a smaller plate can prevent you from adding on more unnecessary foods like that extra piece of pie that you have been eyeballing all night. 

2) Put That Liquid Sugar Down! 

We all know that the taste of sugary drinks are AAAHHHMMMAAAZZIIINNGGGG......BUT, they are also very unhealthy and cause those pants that you look oh so great in, to look like they are painted on. For example, that delicious eggnog has more than 300 calories and 19 grams of fat! Don't worry, there are ways to have a tasty drink without all those calories! Drinks like sparkling water, tea, or coffee will go a long way in helping you avoid unwanted holiday weight gain. If you're not a fan of the drinks above and you're looking for something a little sweeter, try some crystal light or flavored water! Crystal light has only 5 calories and ZERO everything else! Yay for flavor! If you try to cut out the sugary drinks and swap them out for what I suggested, you will be happy and slimmer!

3) Eat Before You Go Out 

You know that when you're at that party, you will be tempted to eat that pizza which has been sitting there for 3 hours. So, eating something small or just healthy before you leave your house will make all the difference in your weight loss progress! It will be less tempting to drink and eat all the bad stuff if you are already full! So go put on that party dress and make sure to bring your crystal light with you!
